10th anniversary
A decade. Two moves, a few jobs, maybe a kid or a dog. You are not the same people, and you chose each other anyway.
A 10 year anniversary song about a decade together
Ten years is long enough to have moved at least once, changed jobs, maybe raised a child or a dog, and come out the other side still choosing each other. Our own sample, Ten Octobers with You, was written for exactly this anniversary.

Hear the second a name lands
Saoirse, my love, you are my home.
You wrote“Ten years this October.”
The song singsNow ten Octobers have flown quickly by.
From a real song made here: “Ten Octobers with You”, for Saoirse, from what her husband typed.
The moment you give it
Put it on while you are both on the couch, scrolling through ten years of photos. The song lands on the same moments you just scrolled past, and you stop scrolling.

A real tenth anniversary song
Ten Octobers with You was made on this site from a husband's four sentences about ten years with Saoirse.

How our tenth anniversary sample was made
A husband typed four sentences: they met on a rainy platform in Cork in 2016, she lent him her umbrella and kept it for a year, she sings to the dog every Sunday while the toast burns, and this October makes ten years. The song turned those into two verses and a chorus with her name, and the singer pronounced Saoirse correctly.
Then and now: what to write about
- A promise from the wedding you have actually kept.
- The song you danced to at the wedding, and what has changed since that night.
- Where you were living ten years ago, and where you are now.
- A photo from the early days that still makes you laugh.
- The hardest year of the ten, said gently.
- The thing that has not changed at all.
- Who joined the family along the way.
- What you would tell the two of you from year one, if you could go back.
Tin or aluminum, the tenth anniversary gift
The traditional tenth anniversary gift is tin or aluminum. Tuck the lyric sheet inside a small tin, and play the song when they open it.
Style and voice
Our tenth anniversary sample is acoustic pop with a male voice, singing straight to her in the first person, which is how most husbands want a tenth to sound. Piano ballad suits couples who want it quieter, country suits couples who met at a honky-tonk.
