Anniversaries
The number on the card changes every year. What it stands for, you have never quite put into words.
An anniversary song generator that counts your years
Anniversary songs land when they carry the actual story: the year you met, the first apartment, the number on this year’s card. You give those details in three lines; the generator writes the verses, puts their name in the chorus and records it.

Hear the second a name lands
Saoirse, my love, you are my home.
You wrote“She lent me her umbrella and kept it for a year.”
The song singsYou shared your small umbrella on the platform. I kept it safe for a whole year.
From a real song made here: “Ten Octobers with You”, for Saoirse, from what her husband typed.
The moment you give it
You count the years in the song and the first apartment, the city, the umbrella. They hear the number and the story behind it in the same chorus, and suddenly the number feels small.

The three lines that matter for an anniversary
The number line often becomes the last line of the song, so make it the one you most want them to hear.
- Line one, the beginning: where and how, with one real detail.
- Line two, the life: a habit, a house, a hard year you came through.
- Line three, the number: "Ten years this October", "Twenty-five since the chapel in Reno".
What the generator does with them
| Part of the song | Built from |
|---|---|
| Verse 1 | How it began |
| Chorus | Their name and what they mean to you |
| Verse 2 | Your life together now |
| Final chorus | The anniversary itself |
Wedding anniversary or dating anniversary
Both work. For a dating anniversary, months are fine: "One year since you spilled coffee on my notes" is a whole song. For a long marriage, mention the kids or grandkids by name if you like; the song stays addressed to your partner.
A theme from the traditional gifts
If you like a theme, the traditional anniversary gift for the year can become a line in the song: paper notes for the first, silver for the twenty-fifth, gold for the fiftieth.
