Names
People go their whole lives without hearing their own name in a song. It takes about two seconds to change that.
A song with their name in it, sung the way you say it
Type a first name and a few lines about the person, and we write an original song whose chorus is built around that name. The name comes back every time the chorus does, and you can hear whether it sounds right before you pay anything.

Hear the second a name lands
Oh Xiomara, you finally made it through.
You wrote“Remembers everyone's birthday.”
The song singsYou always remember every birthday, Xiomara.
From a real song made here: “Sweet Xiomara”, for Xiomara, from what her best friend typed.
The moment you give it
You send it with no explanation. They press play expecting something random, and the chorus arrives with their name in it, said exactly the way their friends say it.
Any day, no reason

How the name gets into the song
The lyrics are written around the name you type: it opens the chorus, so it is heard every time the chorus returns, and often once or twice in the verses. Nicknames work too. If you call him "Bear" or her "Lou", type that, because the song sings exactly what is in the name field.
Hard names, respelled for the singer
AI singers read names the way they are spelled, which goes wrong for many Irish, Vietnamese and Latin American names. We keep a list of tested spellings and hand the singer those, while the lyric sheet you read keeps the real name:
| Name on the lyric sheet | What the singer is given |
|---|---|
| Saoirse | Sear-sha |
| Siobhan | Shiv-awn |
| Niamh | Neev |
| Nguyen | Nwin |
| Joaquin | Wah-keen |
| Xiomara | See-oh-mar-ah |
If the name is not on the list
- Type how you say it on the name screen, in plain syllables, for example "KEE-ra" or "ah-MAH-ra".
- Avoid respellings that are real words; "win" for Nguyen was sung as the word, so we no longer accept hints like that.
- Listen to the 60-second preview with the name in mind before you decide.
- If it is off, re-record once for free with a different spelling hint.
