Hear it first
You want to hear it before you trust it. Fair. The first minute of their actual song is free.
Hear your custom song before you pay a cent
The preview is the first 60 seconds of the actual song made for them, not a sample of someone else’s. You hear it in about two minutes, read the lyric sheet, and only then decide whether to keep it for $12.99.
Hear the second a name lands
Niamh, my sweet girl, you are eighteen today.
You wrote“Paints tiny watercolour foxes.”
The song singsNow you paint tiny foxes on the page.
From a real song made here: “Your Gentle Way”, for Niamh, from what her mum typed.
The moment you give it
Before anyone else hears it, you do. You read every line, hear their name land in the chorus, and decide with your own ears whether this is the gift. If it isn't, you have paid nothing.

How previews differ between services
Not every service lets you listen first, and the ones that do work differently. From their own pages on 24 October 2026:
| Service | Before you pay |
|---|---|
| Songfinch | No preview; you pay, then work with the artist |
| Songlorious | About 30 seconds and the lyrics, after paying 50% up front |
| Unique Song | A free preview, which its comparison page describes as 90 seconds |
| This site | The first 60 seconds and the full lyrics, free |
Listen for these three things
- The name: is it sung the way you say it?
- The details: are your lines in the first verse?
- The voice and style: does it sound like something they would play again?
After the preview
Your preview stays saved under your email, so you can come back to it later and unlock it on the day you need it.
- Love it: unlock, and the full song loads on the same screen with its download button.
- Almost: re-record once for free with a different style, voice or spelling of the name.
- Not for you: close the page. Nothing is charged, and the preview stays in your account.
