For his birthday
A birthday song for your boyfriend, made from your inside jokes
Guys who say they hate surprises usually mean they hate bad ones. A song about the silly nickname, the road trip and the game night is the good kind, and you can check it before he hears a note.

Things to put in his song
- His most-used nickname, and whether he admits to it.
- The game, team or console he would choose over most plans.
- The first time he cooked for you, good or bad.
- A trip where something went wrong and became your favorite story.
- Something he does that makes you feel looked after.
- Where he is headed this year: a new job, a move, a goal.
Funny, sweet, or both
The safest mix is two playful lines and one honest one. He laughs through the first verse, and by the time the chorus comes back with his name he knows you meant it.
Sound and voice
Upbeat pop or R&B / soul with a female voice feels like it is coming from you. If he is a country fan, country with a female voice is a fun twist on the usual.
How to give it
- Play it at midnight when his birthday starts.
- Send it before work with a single heart, and let him find his name.
- Save it for the end of dinner, after the gift he expected.

Yes. Pick hip-hop on the form and the verses come back rapped over boom-bap drums, with a sung chorus built around his name.
The preview plays about two minutes after you send the brief, and the full song unlocks the moment you pay.
Yes. Some girlfriends pick a male voice so it sounds like a song he might put on himself; either works.
