Lyric video
A lyric video for a song that was written about them
Most lyric videos are made for songs everyone already knows. This one is for a song made for one person: an original with their name in it, each lyric line on screen at the moment it is sung. It comes with every unlocked song, over your own photos or, if you have none, our illustrations.

How the lines are timed
The lines are not spread evenly across the song by guesswork. The first time you open the video maker for a song, we listen to the finished recording, match each lyric line to the moment it is sung, and keep those timings for that song.
Once in a while the timing cannot be read from the recording. Then the lines follow the song’s own structure of verses and chorus instead, which is close, though not as exact.
What the lyric video looks like
- Vertical 9:16, sized for a phone screen and for posting.
- A title card first, with the person’s name and the song title.
- One line at a time, written over the picture behind it.
- Your photos in the order you chose them, or our painted illustrations if you skip that step.
Looking for a lyric video generator?
If you want to put the words of a song you already have, or a famous one, into a video, this is not that tool: it only makes videos for songs created here. What it does do is write the song as well, so the words on screen are about the person watching.
