How much does Songlorious cost?
The price is set by length, then by speed. Its FAQ lists a two-minute song from $200, three minutes from $250 and four minutes from $295, with four-day delivery included. Its About page gives a lower starting figure, $180; the FAQ is the more detailed of the two, so budget from $200.
Faster delivery is added on top: $20 for three days, $35 for two days and $85 for the next day. A commercial licence and distribution to streaming services are separate paid add-ons; we did not record their prices.
Worked through with the published numbers, and taking the delivery fees as flat amounts the way the FAQ lists them, the lowest totals before any change fees are:
| Order | Lowest total |
|---|---|
| Two-minute song, 4-day delivery | $200 |
| Two-minute song, next day | $285 |
| Three-minute song, 2-day delivery | $285 |
| Four-minute song, next day | $380 |

What paying in two halves means
Try Before You Buy splits the payment. You pay 50% when you order, so $100 on a $200 song. When the song is finished you read all the lyrics and hear about 30 seconds, then pay the other half to unlock it. If you decide not to, the first half is not refunded, so it works as a non-refundable deposit rather than a free trial.
If you pay in full instead, the only way back is the cancellation window: within 24 hours, minus a 35% service and processing fee. On a $200 order that is $70 kept and $130 returned. One Trustpilot reviewer describes exactly that outcome, getting 65% back after cancelling within half an hour.

How it works at Songlorious
From its FAQ, an order goes through these steps:
- You pick a length and a delivery speed, choose to pay in full or use Try Before You Buy, and tell them about the person and your story.
- A songwriter drafts the lyrics and emails them to you while the song is being written. You can reword any line at this point for free; it is the cheapest moment to change anything.
- Producers record the song using voices based on real singers who agreed to it, with AI-assisted tools in production.
- The finished song arrives on a shareable song page, with unlimited MP3 downloads and the lyrics.
- Within 72 hours you can ask for free fixes where the song does not match what you ordered. Other changes cost a fee.

What happy customers say
More than nine in ten Trustpilot reviewers gave five stars. Trustpilot’s summary of recent reviews says customers praise how the musicians capture personal stories and small details, that the website guides them through every step, and that the staff are helpful.
What one-star reviewers say
About 6% of reviews are one-star. Reading them (2023 to 2026), these complaints repeat. They are individual customers’ accounts, not things we tested:
- Missed dates. Some say the song arrived after the event, including people who paid for faster delivery.
- Lyrics that felt thin. A few describe repetitive choruses or lyrics that took their notes too literally.
- Revisions. Some say a fix for one thing, such as a misspelled name, changed other parts of the song.
- Cancelling. One reviewer cancelled within 30 minutes and got 65% back, which matches the 35% fee in the FAQ.
- Slow replies. Several mention waiting days for an answer, including over weekends.

Is Songlorious legit?
Yes. Its About page says the founders struck a deal with four investors on Shark Tank, its Trustpilot profile has been claimed since 2020, and more than nine in ten reviewers give five stars. Its FAQ is unusually clear about what you pay for, and about what you cannot get back.
If you order, use the lyric review step carefully, because that is the free point to change anything. Pick a date with a margin before the event, and remember that the Try Before You Buy deposit is not refundable.

Songlorious complaints, and how to avoid them
The repeated complaints map onto specific points in its process. What we would do with each, based on its FAQ:
- Missed dates: four days is the standard turnaround, so order a week ahead even when you pay for speed, and give the event date in your answers.
- Thin lyrics: the emailed draft is where this is fixed. Replace any line that reads like a template with one specific memory, a name or a place.
- Revisions that change other parts: ask for one precise fix at a time within the 72-hour window, and quote the exact line or name that is wrong.
- Cancelling: decide before you pay in full. After that, the most you can get back is 65% within 24 hours.
- Slow replies: send questions on a weekday and well before your deadline, since reviewers mention waits over weekends.
Songlorious vs Songfinch
Both are studios rather than instant tools, and both rate well on Trustpilot. Songlorious has the higher score (4.8 against 4.5) on far fewer reviews (238 against 23,606). The choice usually comes down to two questions: do you want to choose the singer, and do you want to check the song before paying in full?
Songlorious lets you check more before the money is final: you approve the lyrics line by line, and with Try Before You Buy you hear a short clip before paying the second half. Songfinch takes full payment at order, with a draft-lyrics review along the way, but lets you browse and pick the exact musician, who writes and sings it with no AI.
On time and cost, Songlorious includes 4-day delivery in its $200 starting price; Songfinch starts at $179 with 7-day delivery, and its artists charge up to $1,099.
| Songlorious | Songfinch | |
|---|---|---|
| Starting price | From $200 for 2 minutes (About page: from $180) | From $179; artists up to $1,099 |
| Who makes it | Songwriters, producers, AI-assisted tools, licensed singers’ voices | One musician you choose; "100% AI-free" |
| Standard delivery | 4 days, free | 7 days |
| Fastest delivery | Next day, +$85 | 24 hours with select artists |
| Hear before paying in full | About 30 seconds after a 50% deposit | No |
| Changes after delivery | Free fixes within 72 hours for mistakes; fee for others | Paid; you make the artist an offer |
| Refunds | None; cancel within 24 hours minus 35% | Final once an artist accepts |
| Trustpilot | 4.8 from 238 reviews | 4.5 from 23,606 reviews |

When a human-made song is better
Songlorious itself mixes people and AI tools. Here is when we think a studio song, from Songlorious or a fully human one, is worth the extra money and days over ours:
- You want to shape the words with someone. Rewording any line before it is recorded is something a studio does and we do not.
- You need more than two minutes. Songlorious sells three- and four-minute songs; ours are about two minutes.
- You plan to use it commercially or put it on streaming services. Songlorious sells those rights as add-ons; our songs are for personal gifts.
- The language or style is outside our range. We sing English, German, French, Spanish and Japanese, rap only in English, and have no gospel or lullaby style.
- You would rather a producer made the judgement calls about melody and arrangement than pick from our seven styles.
Songlorious vs NameSong: an honest comparison
We make the same kind of gift, so treat this section as a competitor talking. If you want a producer and a real singer’s voice, and time to edit the lyrics line by line, Songlorious offers that. The differences are factual:
| Songlorious | NameSong (this site) | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | From $200 for two minutes, per its FAQ | $12.99 once |
| Hear before you pay | About 30 seconds, after paying 50% | The first 60 seconds, free |
| Time to first listen | 4 days free; next day for $85 | About 2 minutes |
| Who sings | Licensed voices of real singers, with AI-assisted production | An AI singer |
| Edit lyrics before recording | Yes, any line, free | No; you read every line on the preview, and can re-record once free with changed details |
| Name sung wrong | A mistake against your order is fixed free within 72 hours | Free remake once per paid song |
| Downloadable MP3 | Yes, unlimited | Yes, after you unlock |
| A page to send them | Yes, a shareable song page | Yes, a private link with your name and a note, which you can switch off |
| Sung languages | English (others not checked) | English, German, French, Spanish, Japanese |
| Video | Not checked | Free photo video of your photos with the lyrics; optional AI singer chorus video $9.99 |
What we cannot match
Songlorious has a team, a Shark Tank deal and 238 reviews; we are new and our voices are AI. Our songs are about two minutes, and there is no line-by-line lyric editing. What you get instead is a full minute of the real song, free, a couple of minutes after you give an email, with no card and no deposit to lose.
If the name is unusual, you type how it sounds and the singer follows it. After you pay, if the name is still sung wrong, we remake it free once.
