The anniversary sample was four everyday sentences from her husband: they met on a rainy platform in Cork, she lent him her umbrella and kept it for a year, she sings to the dog while the toast burns, and it was ten years that October. None of it is poetic, and the song is better for it.
The right Valentine’s sound for a wife
Acoustic pop with a male voice is the most direct choice, and it is what Saoirse’s song uses.
